The bass is a relatively young instrument and every day someone finds something new and inovative to do with it. Wheather it be a new technique to play the instrument, or a new bit of kit that opens up further avenues of musicality, the instrument has had me gripped and enthusiastic about every aspect of it since I picked one up.

I’ve been playing bass since I was sixteen and I would have to say that I’m not a natural musician. Being the first of my family to show any serious interest in learning an instrument I grafted long and hard to get to where I am today, although I didn’t actually notice where all the time went because I’ve enjoyed it so much.

Music is infinite in its possibilities and this only makes me want to strive to put together the perfect tool kit of knowledge that might help me take on anything new.
